Another two wishlist fanlistings opened...

Due to having so many of my wishlisters now I've taken the decision to close 6 of my fanlistings. I've never been a collector and would prefer to keep the numbers small but important!

I'm planning a few revamps of the listings I've kept (especially of the collective itself) so expect some changes.

Jeez, long time no update!

I have a few wishlisters that I've opened since I last updated, namely This is Spinal Tap (movie) and Iron freakin' Maiden (musicians: band)

I also have another couple of wishlisters that have been promised me and I think that after I have finished those I need to have a cull. I don't want this many so it'd be best to adopt/close a couple I don't love quite as much as the others!

It's taken longer than I thought (I'm too lazy for my own good sometimes) but every fanlisting is finally moved over.

I picked up an adoption on the way as I am now the proud owner of the Angel [+] All Characters fanlisting - thanks Anna!

There are a few applications and adoption requests I'm waiting to hear back from and in fact I can't remember what I've applied for. Eek. I know I applied for a couple before thefanlistings had it's break...

The old webhost are still screwing me around but I have one of their technicians on the case to try and resurrect the databases that are still lost despite their promise that everything would be sorted by now. I don't hold much hope that I'm going to get the member lists back and it's about this time that I wish I'd backed up my databases more often :-(
While I'm waiting to be sorted (or not sorted as the case may be) I've installed the gallery again. One negative about my new host is that there aren't as many pre-installed one click and it's done scripts as before. I used Coppermine on the old site so I decided to go with that again but had to install it fully myself. And I managed it first try! I'm well impressed with myself!

I've said for months other at my old site - faythlost.com - that I was going to cancel my hosting there and find a new site when my contract expired in May, well, I couldn't wait that long!

After so much downtime, email problems and SQL databases disappearing more often than a magician's rabbit I would never, ever recommend that hosting company to anyone. They always answered trouble tickets quickly enough it's just a shame they never resolved the problems for than two hours.

But it gives me a chance to revamp the site a little and start from scratch. Everything is now ran via Enthusiast 3 instead of Enthusiast 2 so it should all look a lot nicer and far more professional.

I have some of the fanlistings up and the majority of this main site. The gallery is currently awol but expect that back shortly.
